With all the chaos going around the world amid the Coronavirus outbreak, what better way to keep yourself self-quarantined than by reading a good book! Honestly, I don’t mind locking myself indoors with this gloomy weather we’re having in San Diego right now. It’s everything my introvert side could ask for! Thankfully, my full time job is allowing us to work remote while things settle down, so I’m going to use this opportunity to do some of my favorite self-care practices.
I think by this point we all know that I’ve become all about managing self-care and making it my priority. Even though I want to take really good care of myself 24/7, I know sometimes it can get hard..it’s so easy to forget to make time for yourself! Life can get prettttty hectic sometimes, but even the smallest ways can help- like reading a good self-care book!
My IG followers already know the two books I constantly rave about: “The Mastery of Love” by Don Miguel Ruiz and “The Universe Has Your Back” by Gabrielle Bernstein. Both of these books have helped me soooooo much when it comes to learning to love myself! Like I mentioned before, it can be so easy to forget to love yourself. I love reading either of these books before I go to bed, or even if I find myself a bit anxious or insecure- I’ll automatically feel better after reading a few pages.

“The Mastery of Love” is a good self-care book when you may be having relationship problems. Not only romantic relationships, but just any interpersonal relationships. It’s a good confidence booster, for sure. It has taught me to becomes less dependent on others and more reliant on myself.
“The Universe Has Your Back” has to be my all time favorite book so far. In the past, I honestly hated going with the flow. I loved having my days, weeks…basically, my life planned. After reading this book, I’ve learned to just sit back, relax, and trust that everything will turn out okay, with or without a plan! Well, at least that’s what I’m trying to teach myself to do. So far, so good.
I hope you guys decide to check out these books soon if you find yourself struggling with self-love. Don’t forget to check out my Instagram stories- I post uplifting quotes every day to help boost confidence, motivation, and strength. 🙂
Also, please practice social distancing during this scary time. Even though you might be healthy, you can still carry a virus that can be passed onto those who may not be as fortunate. Use this time of self-quarantine to get back in touch with yourself and your loved ones. If you guys have any fun ideas for activities to do at home, please let each other know in the comments below. I’ve been keeping busy with home decorating, true crime podcasts/documentaries, and baking! What about you?
